Valiant Residential is currently seeking a part-time Leasing Consultant to join their team. This role is integral to maintaining high occupancy levels and resident satisfaction within the community. The Leasing Consultant acts as the face of the property, engaging with prospective residents through exceptional customer service and by providing detailed information about available units and community amenities. Responsibilities include qualifying prospects, preparing move-in packages, updating availability reports, processing rental applications, and supporting the management team with various administrative tasks. This position requires a professional approach in maintaining guest records, managing lease documentation using the Yardi System, and ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations.

Job Requirements
- Experience in working with the public and/or sales
- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
- Fair Housing Certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to support and contribute to the community team
- Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills
- Operate telephone, personal computer/keyboard, Microsoft Office including Word and MS Outlook, and community software
- Possess a positive attitude and the ability to smile under all circumstances
- Participate in training to comply with new or existing laws
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- Two years experience in previous relevant customer service
- Maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance
- Comply with expectations as demonstrated in the employee handbook
- Demonstrate ability to diffuse and respond to customer concerns to avoid escalation
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Greet prospects and qualify by covering all criteria
- Prepare move-in packages and lease paperwork
- Record all telephone and in-person visits on appropriate reports
- File guest cards and maintain them according to established procedures
- Inspect models and market-ready units
- Communicate related service needs to the Community Manager
- Have the prospect complete the application and secure a deposit following procedures and Fair Housing requirements
- Update availability reports and process applications for approval
- Submit processed applications to the Community Manager
- Assist in monitoring renewals and distribute renewal notices
- Monitor advertising effectiveness and gather market competition information
- Professionally represent the company at all times
- Accept rental payments and hand them to the Assistant Community Manager
- Type lease and complete paperwork accurately in the Yardi System
- Assist the management team with other various tasks as required
- Consistently implement community policies
