We are currently seeking a full-time Leasing Consultant to join our Somerset Park Apartments team. This role is ideal for individuals with a friendly, outgoing personality who have a passion for sales and customer service. The Leasing Consultant is a key player in maximizing property occupancy by attracting qualified prospects, networking locally, scheduling appointments, securing leases, and promoting resident retention. In addition to leasing duties, this position involves providing top-tier customer service by addressing resident questions, concerns, and complaints in a courteous and professional manner. The Leasing Consultant supports the Property Manager and contributes to the overall success of the property by assisting with various administrative tasks such as answering phones and maintaining resident/property files. A strong commitment to Fair Housing Practices and a professional demeanor are essential traits for this role. This position offers an hourly wage plus commissions, along with a full benefits package, including medical, vision, dental, life insurance options, 401K with employer matching, paid vacation and holidays, and employee apartment rental discounts. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year office experience preferably in property management
- Valid driver's license and insurance
- Ability to pass drug screening and background check
- Strong customer service and sales skills
- Availability to work Saturdays with weekday schedule adjustments
- Computer proficiency
- Excellent communication skills
- Team-oriented and self-motivated
- Familiarity with social media
- Prior leasing experience preferred
- Entrata software experience preferred
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year of office experience, preferably in a property management office
- Prior leasing experience preferred but not required
- Valid driver's license with valid insurance
- Strong customer service and sales experience
- Team player with a goal-oriented mindset and self-starter attitude
- Entrata experience preferred but willing to train
- Ability to successfully pass drug screening and criminal background check
- Computer proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interact professionally with residents and customers
- Familiarity with social media platforms and business best practices
Job Duties
- Show and lease units to prospective residents
- Courteously handle resident questions, concerns and complaints
- Complete and maintain all resident and property files
- Conduct out-reach marketing on a regular basis
- Execute Fair Housing Practices consistently
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times
- Assist with resident retention
- Walk the marketing path daily
- Process lease applications and qualify residents
- Support the Property Manager with general office maintenance by answering phones and performing other administrative tasks
- Play a key role in resolving resident concerns and issues
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Work Saturdays with schedule adjustments during the week
