Job Description
Preiss is a nationally recognized leader in the ownership and management of multifamily and student housing communities across the United States. With an extensive and diverse portfolio of properties, Preiss has built a reputation for delivering an exceptional living experience for residents while offering a best-in-class investment platform for stakeholders. The company's commitment to quality is evident in its dedication to maintaining attractive, well-managed communities that cater to the needs of modern renters. Preiss prides itself on fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment, being an Equal Opportunity and LGBTQ+ friendly employer, which further highlights its dedication to diversity and equity in the workplace.
The Collective at Norman, a property managed by Preiss, is currently seeking a Leasing Consultant to join their team. This role is integral to the day-to-day leasing and marketing operations of the community and plays a critical part in sustaining positive resident relations. The Leasing Consultant will be the first point of contact for prospective residents and visitors, making it essential to maintain a professional and friendly demeanor at all times. Beyond leasing, the role involves engaging in community marketing efforts, building partnerships with local institutions and businesses, and actively participating in resident events to enhance the tenant experience.
In this position, the Leasing Consultant will be responsible for answering inquiries, persuading potential residents to explore the property, and diligently following up on leads to meet occupancy goals. Additionally, the role requires managing delinquency communications, maintaining accurate leasing records, and executing marketing strategies such as campus outreach and competitive market analysis. The Leasing Consultant will also serve as a liaison between current residents and management by managing questions and concerns promptly and professionally.
This full-time opportunity is well suited for candidates with at least one year of customer service or sales experience, preferably with exposure to property management and leasing. The ability to understand and apply Fair Housing laws is vital for compliance and ethical leasing practices. Educational requirements include a minimum of a high school diploma or some college education, with a preference given to candidates holding a Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field. The role offers a chance to develop critical skills in sales, marketing, customer relations, and property management, all within a supportive and diverse company.
