Job Description
Preiss is a recognized leader in the ownership and management of multifamily and student housing communities across the United States. Known for its extensive and diverse national portfolio, Preiss is committed to delivering an unparalleled living experience to its residents while maintaining a best-in-class investment platform for its stakeholders. The company’s dedication to inclusivity and equal opportunity is reflected in its status as an Equal Opportunity and LGBTQ+ friendly Employer, fostering an inclusive work environment where all employees and residents feel respected and valued.
Operating within the vibrant student housing sector, Preiss continues to enhance its communities by focusing on exceptional property management and resident satisfaction. Signature on Grand, one of the properties under Preiss' management, is currently seeking a Leasing Consultant to join their team. This role is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about customer service and enjoy working in dynamic environments where they engage directly with prospective and current residents.
The Leasing Consultant is primarily responsible for executing day-to-day leasing and marketing operations, ensuring smooth property management that results in positive experiences for residents and prospective tenants. The consultant acts as the frontline representative of the property, greeting visitors professionally, handling inquiries, conducting property tours, and pursuing leasing opportunities with diligence and professionalism. Key responsibilities include answering calls, persuading potential residents to visit the property, pursuing leads through daily follow-ups, handling delinquency calls, and maintaining effective communication through guest cards and thank-you notes.
In addition to leasing responsibilities, the role involves active participation in marketing activities such as attending and promoting resident events, establishing connections with universities, local institutions, businesses, and cultural centers to drive prospects, and executing community marketing initiatives. The Leasing Consultant also tours competitor properties regularly to stay informed about current market strategies, specials, and property standards, which helps maintain competitive advantages.
The Leasing Consultant also plays a critical role in enhancing tenant experience by greeting both existing and potential residents, addressing their concerns promptly, and managing administrative tasks like logging packages, generating mailings, collecting payments, and filing leases. This comprehensive involvement ensures that the leasing consultant contributes significantly to the operational efficiency and reputation of Signature on Grand.
Candidates for this role should have a minimum of one year of customer service or sales experience, strong customer service skills, and an understanding of Fair Housing laws. Property management leasing experience is preferred but not mandatory. Education requirements include a minimum of a high school diploma with some college, while a bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field is preferred.
Working as a Leasing Consultant at Signature on Grand offers the opportunity to build a career in property management within a company that values diversity, professional growth, and community connection. The role prepares individuals to develop strong communication, sales, and administrative skills in a fast-paced and rewarding environment. As part of Preiss’ commitment, employees are supported through ongoing training and leadership commitment to their success and well-being. This position directly supports the company’s mission to offer high-quality housing experiences and to maintain a thriving, customer-focused community environment.
Preiss is committed to creating an equal employment opportunity workplace and encourages all qualified individuals to apply. The company ensures employees have the right to know their legal rights under federal employment laws, reflecting its dedication to fair and transparent hiring practices.
