Job Description

Preiss is a nationally recognized leader specializing in the ownership and management of multifamily and student housing communities across the United States. The company is known for its extensive and diverse portfolio that spans numerous regions, providing residents with an unparalleled living experience. Preiss places strong emphasis on quality management practices, investment excellence, and maintaining a best-in-class platform for investors and residents alike. As an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity and inclusion, Preiss is LGBTQ+ friendly and fosters a workplace environment that values all employees and respects community standards. The company’s dedication to superior service and community building drives its success in managing high-quality residential communities nationwide.

The Collective at Lubbock, one of Preiss’s signature student housing communities, is currently seeking a Leasing Consultant to support the day-to-day leasing and marketing operations of the property. This role is crucial for maintaining positive relationships with current and prospective residents while enhancing the overall resident experience. As a Leasing Consultant, you will serve as an essential point of contact, managing inquiries, conducting tours, and using your interpersonal skills to convert leads into leases. This position requires a dynamic individual who is comfortable multitasking between leasing responsibilities and marketing outreach efforts.

Your responsibilities will include engaging potential residents, parents, and visitors with professionalism and courtesy, answering phone calls, and pursuing leads through diligent follow-up activities. You will also be accountable for supporting marketing initiatives such as attending resident events, participating in community outreach activities, and establishing partnerships with local businesses, universities, and cultural institutions to increase foot traffic and property visibility.

In addition to leasing and marketing, the role involves providing exceptional tenant experience by addressing resident concerns promptly and maintaining a welcoming environment. Administrative tasks, including processing payments, filing leases, and generating mailings, are integral to this position. The Leasing Consultant will contribute to maintaining property occupancy and competitive positioning by gathering market intelligence from competitors.

This position is ideal for individuals with a minimum of one year of customer service or sales experience, preferably in property management leasing. A comprehensive understanding of Fair Housing laws and excellent customer service skills are fundamental to success in this role. Educationally, candidates should possess at least a high school diploma with some college preferred; a bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is advantageous.

Preiss offers a collaborative work environment where team members are encouraged to grow professionally while contributing to a vibrant and resident-focused community atmosphere. This role provides an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking to build a career in property management and leasing with a reputable and forward-thinking company. Join The Collective at Lubbock and become part of a dedicated team committed to delivering superior living experiences and fostering community engagement.
