Join Our Team as an Apartment Leasing Consultant! This role is based in Homestead, FL, offering a competitive pay rate of $16 to $18 per hour. As an Apartment Leasing Consultant, you will be instrumental in creating outstanding living experiences for current and prospective residents by guiding them through the leasing process with professionalism and care. Reporting directly to the property manager, you will become the face of the community, welcoming visitors, offering personalized tours, and working closely with prospects to understand their housing needs and preferences. Your ability to close leasing leads effectively will help build a thriving, resident-focused community. Your responsibilities will include handling leasing paperwork accurately, from applications to lease agreements, as well as performing employment and credit checks. You will manage financial aspects such as collecting security deposits and rent to ensure the leasing process is smooth and efficient.

Beyond leasing, you will take on tasks that ensure the property maintains its appeal and readiness for move-ins by inspecting apartments and performing last-minute touch-ups. Your role will also involve innovative marketing efforts to attract new residents and proactive lease renewal management to retain existing tenants. Responding promptly and professionally to all inquiries, whether via phone or email, will be critical in maintaining excellent communication and customer satisfaction. Job Requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and exposure to social media
  • Knowledge of leasing software a plus including Yardi, Blue Moon, Entrata, Onesite, MRI, etc.
  • Ability to work weekends as required

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in real estate, retail, sales, leasing, hospitality, or customer service preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Familiarity with leasing software such as Yardi, Blue Moon, Entrata, Onesite, or MRI is a plus
  • Ability to work weekends as required
  • Customer-focused attitude
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
  • Positive and motivated approach to work

Job Duties

  • Greet prospective residents and give tours while determining housing needs, preferences, and closing leads
  • Assist new residents with leasing paperwork, including applications, lease agreements, and employment/credit checks
  • Collect security deposits, rent, and any other charges associated with resident move-ins
  • Communicate all lease and community policies to new and current residents
  • Follow up with all leads and prospects that did not lease
  • Ensure apartments are move-in ready by inspecting, and adding last-minute touches when appropriate
  • Seek out new residents with creative marketing techniques
  • Manage the lease renewal process and retention efforts
  • Respond promptly to calls, emails, and inquiries
