Job Description
Asset Living is a nationally recognized third-party property management firm with a strong reputation for fostering thriving residential communities across the United States. Established in 1986, Asset Living has grown from a small property management company into one of the most trusted partners in real estate management. The company specializes in a wide range of property types including multifamily housing, single-family home rentals, affordable housing, build-to-rent communities, active adult living, and student housing segments. This extensive portfolio reflects Asset Living's commitment to providing exceptional value to property owners, investors, and residents alike.
With decades of experience and a growing portfolio that spans the country, Asset Living is dedicated to innovation, diversity, and quality service. The company’s culture emphasizes collaboration, leadership, and continual improvement, fostering an environment where every employee’s voice is valued and growth opportunities abound. Recognized nationally as one of the Best and Brightest Places to Work and ranked in the NMHC top 50 professionals, Asset Living prides itself on a workplace culture that supports success as a shared responsibility. Additionally, Asset Living is a member of The Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) and holds Accredited Management Organization (AMO) status, underscoring its commitment to ethics and professional standards in property management.
The Leasing Consultant role at Asset Living is an integral position focused on leasing activities, marketing initiatives, and fostering positive resident relationships within a community. This full-time role offers a competitive pay range from $22 to $23 per hour and is crucial to achieving property occupancy and resident satisfaction goals. The Leasing Consultant is responsible for all aspects of the leasing process—from greeting and qualifying prospective residents, conducting tours, handling lease paperwork, to assisting with lease audits and turnover processes. A significant part of this role is maintaining and responding to prospect leads within 24 hours while leveraging sales and marketing strategies to increase property traffic and exceed leasing targets.
Beyond leasing duties, the role also demands active participation in customer service, community marketing efforts, resident retention programs, and ensuring the overall upkeep and cleanliness of the property’s office, common areas, and model units. The Leasing Consultant is a key ambassador for the property's image, managing resident concerns to ensure satisfaction, enforcing community policies, and contributing to a welcoming atmosphere.
Candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, basic computer skills, and a foundational understanding of Fair Housing laws and OSHA requirements. Physical requirements include the ability to move between worksites, handle objects up to 25 pounds, work outdoors in various weather conditions, and operate vehicles or power tools when necessary. Asset Living offers comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, accidental, and disability insurance, a 401K plan with employer matching, and performance bonuses where applicable. Full-time employees enjoy paid sick leave and company holidays, reflecting the company’s commitment to employee well-being.
Joining Asset Living means becoming part of a dynamic and supportive team that values leadership, diverse talents, and the collective success of the communities it serves. This position not only offers a meaningful career in property management but also the opportunity for personal and professional growth within a rapidly expanding national firm. If you are passionate about customer service, sales, and property management, and are eager to contribute to a thriving community environment, the Leasing Consultant role at Asset Living represents an excellent opportunity to advance your career.
