The role of Leasing Consultant at Hawthorne is a pivotal position, often referred to as Leasing and Live It Specialists. These professionals serve as the welcoming face and ambassadors of the Live It culture within their communities. Their primary responsibility is to create exceptional experiences for prospects and residents alike, ensuring that everyone feels welcome, supported, and excited to call Hawthorne home. Leasing Consultants at Hawthorne are entrusted with driving leasing success, converting leads into leases through effective relationship-building and providing comprehensive support during the application and move-in processes. In addition to leasing duties, these specialists foster strong resident relationships by addressing concerns empathetically and maintaining inviting community environments. They also play an active role in marketing and building brand awareness through social media and local outreach efforts.
The schedule for this position typically runs Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with Saturday hours from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, ensuring a balanced 40-hour week with one weekday off. Occasionally, evening and weekend availability may be required for resident events or specific community needs. This position offers hourly compensation enhanced by monthly leasing and renewal commissions as well as incentive programs, presenting a rewarding blend of steady pay and performance-based earnings.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- One year of customer service experience preferred but not required
- Valid driver’s license
- Availability to work Monday through Saturday within posted hours
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
- Willingness to attend training and coaching sessions
- Ability to work evenings and weekends for special events as required
- Basic computer proficiency
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- One year of customer service experience preferred
- Sales or apartment leasing experience is a plus
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

- Proficiency with leasing software and basic computer applications

- Certified Apartment Leasing Professional (CALP) accreditation is a plus
Job Duties
