Job Description

Hawthorne is a distinguished multifamily management company recognized as one of the top 50 largest in the United States. Proudly headquartered in the Southeast, Hawthorne has earned a stellar reputation for its commitment to excellence and its award-winning apartment communities. The company’s culture, famously known as "Live It," highlights a deep dedication to service, connection, and surpassing the expectations of both its residents and team members. This culture is the backbone of Hawthorne, fostering an environment where employees feel valued, supported, and motivated to contribute meaningfully to the community experience.

As a Leasing Consultant at Hawthorne, you will serve as the Leasing and Live It Specialist—the vibrant face of the community and an essential ambassador of the Live It values. This role is designed for those who are passionate about creating outstanding experiences and building genuine connections. From welcoming prospective residents with enthusiasm and professionalism to conducting engaging, personalized apartment tours, your efforts will directly influence the warm, inviting atmosphere that Hawthorne prides itself on.

Beyond leading apartment tours, the Leasing Consultant is actively involved in planning and attending resident events, effectively contributing to community engagement initiatives. This role also entails responding promptly to inquiries, managing leasing applications with accuracy, and supporting occupancy and renewal goals. The Leasing Consultant’s responsibilities span both operational efficiency and the nurturing of vibrant social environments, making it a dynamic position suited for individuals eager to make a tangible impact on peoples’ lives.

The position operates within a structured schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with additional hours on Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. A weekday off is provided to maintain a 40-hour workweek, although evening and weekend availability may be required to support resident events or specific community needs. Candidates interested in this role should demonstrate a positive attitude, clear communication skills, a service-oriented mindset, and a willingness to learn. These attributes align with Hawthorne’s core values and ensure community members receive unparalleled support.

Hawthorne supports career development through its Career Path Program, enabling Leasing Consultants to advance to positions such as Assistant Community Manager. The company’s Learning and Development team is dedicated to fostering employee growth, reflecting the organization’s investment in its people’s professional success.

Compensation includes hourly wages supplemented by leasing and renewal commissions and incentive programs, making the role both rewarding and motivating. Employees also receive a comprehensive benefits package covering health, dental, vision, wellness incentives, paid time off including birthday leave, retirement match programs, pet insurance, and telehealth services.

Joining Hawthorne means becoming part of a forward-thinking, compassionate company that prioritizes community, connection, and career growth. If you seek a role where your passion and hard work create meaningful impacts and a nurturing environment, the Leasing Consultant position at Hawthorne offers an exceptional opportunity to thrive and contribute in a thriving multifamily apartment community setting.
