The role available is that of a Leasing Consultant, a vital position within the property management team that directly impacts resident experience and company reputation. The Leasing Consultant will serve as the first point of contact for prospects and residents, managing inquiries and coordinating leasing activities efficiently. Key responsibilities include answering telephones according to company policy, welcoming residents and prospects with a friendly and professional attitude, and conducting comprehensive property tours to showcase available units and amenities. Additionally, the Leasing Consultant is tasked with preparing and processing lease applications, credit reports, and related paperwork, ensuring all aspects of leasing are handled accurately and in compliance with company standards.

The Leasing Consultant is also responsible for following up with residents after maintenance work orders have been completed, ensuring satisfaction and prompt resolution of any issues. Handling packages for residents and managing daily communications via email and phone messages form an integral part of the day-to-day tasks. Attention to detail is critical, especially for the preparation of move-in packets and maintaining accurate records such as the move-in calendar. This role operates within a professional office environment and utilizes standard office equipment including computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing systems. Candidates should be comfortable with both face-to-face customer interaction and behind-the-scenes administrative duties.

Job Duties

  • Answer telephones per company policy
  • Greet residents and prospects promptly with a friendly welcome
  • Complete guest cards on all prospects
  • Take all prospects on a complete tour of the premises
  • Follow up with all residents after a work order to ensure it has been taken care of to their satisfactory
  • Prepare lease applications, credit reports, credit worksheets all lease documents
  • Communicate lease paperwork to new residents, receive deposits and record according to company policy
  • Complete move in packets for new residents, enter move in date on move in calendar
  • Call the answering service each morning for messages and respond in a timely manner
  • Check all email requests daily responding in a timely manner according to company policy
  • Accept and distribute packages from delivery services on behalf of the residents
  • Complete necessary administrative duties
  • Compliance of Fair Housing guidelines and company policies
