The role of Leasing Consultant at Edward Rose & Sons involves being a critical part of the on-site community team, dedicated to enhancing the experience of current and prospective residents. This position offers a competitive starting wage beginning at $17.69 per hour or higher, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package. The Leasing Consultant acts as a primary point of contact for prospective renters by presenting community information in a professional manner tailored to meet their needs. Responsibilities include handling inquiries both in person and through telephone or email communications, processing rental applications, preparing lease contracts, and coordinating move-ins and move-outs. The role also requires attentive listening to resident complaints and the development of appropriate solutions to maintain satisfaction. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with property management software, such as Yardi Voyager, is preferred. Flexibility regarding work schedules, including potential weekend hours, is necessary. The position encourages a professional appearance consistent with team dress code standards and requires reliable transportation with a valid driver's license. Job Requirements

  • Previous sales or customer service experience is required
  • previous experience in multi-family property management is preferred
  • previous leasing experience is preferred
  • must be proficient with Microsoft Office programs
  • experience using Yardi Voyager or related property management software is preferred
  • maintain a professional appearance following team dress code policy
  • must be flexible with work schedule
  • weekend hours may be assigned
  • have reliable transportation and valid driver's license

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Present community information to prospective renters in a professional manner
  • provide accurate information on the selling features of the community and surrounding area
  • build positive rapport with potential residents by answering telephone and email communications in a timely manner
  • process applications for prospective residents and follow up to maintain consistent communication
  • prepare lease contracts and other required documents
  • follow procedures to coordinate residents moving in and out of the community and communicate status to departments
  • listen to resident complaints and help develop solutions
  • perform additional duties as assigned by manager
