Job Requirements

  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Available to be scheduled for work approximately 20 hours per week
  • Available evenings and weekends
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions including rain, snow, heat, hail, wind, and sleet
  • Must successfully pass third party leasing shops and become Cardinal Way of Leasing certified
  • Must participate in Cardinal Way of Leasing and Cardinal U training
  • Must maintain accurate lease file documentation and participate in lease file audits
  • Must demonstrate positive and professional attitude
  • Must complete lease applications and paperwork accurately

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be enrolled in a degree program at an accredited college or university with a minimum of 6 credit hours
  • Must have completed a minimum of one year at the enrolled accredited college or university
  • Must maintain a minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average with GPA verified annually
  • Must be a current or future leaseholder of the community
  • Must live on designated community floor as assigned by Community Manager
  • Ability to embody Cardinal Culture and Core Values every day

Job Duties

  • Be an ambassador for customer service by consistently going above and beyond to ensure that Cardinal customers are satisfied
  • Administrative front desk tasks and duties
  • Participate in Cardinal Way of Leasing training as required
  • Warmly greet prospective clients
  • Answer incoming leasing calls
  • Determine needs and preferences
  • Professionally present the community and apartment homes
  • Utilize feature/benefit selling
  • Close the sale
  • Follow up with prospective residents
  • Complete all lease applications and lease file paperwork
  • Pass third party leasing shops and become Cardinal Way of Leasing certified
  • Maintain accurate lease file documentation in accordance with company policy
  • Participate in lease file audits as assigned by the Community Manager
  • Be an expert on current market conditions and trends by shopping competition and attending Cardinal trainings
  • Maintain cleanliness of the tour path to ensure a positive first impression of the community
  • Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude with team members, residents, prospective residents, and vendors
  • Participate in and assist with planning community events
  • Assist with various additional community projects as assigned by the Community Manager
  • Participate in Cardinal U training as required
  • Fulfill on-call responsibilities such as lock-outs and nightly rounds
  • Work evenings and weekends as scheduled
