This role serves as an assistant to the Mortuary Supervisor, primarily responsible for assisting with administrative duties, training programs, and coordinating daily activities within the Mortuary Department. The position demands a reliable, skilled professional who will prepare, disinfect, and preserve human remains in accordance with all legal requirements and the high standards set by Forest Lawn. The Assistant Mortuary Supervisor ensures the readiness of preparations for visitations, services, cremation, and interment. This position requires strong leadership skills as it involves overseeing the mortuary operations in the supervisor’s absence, maintaining sanitary conditions to pass health inspections, and fostering teamwork among staff and support groups.
