Job Description
Leigh & Co. Events is a dynamic and rapidly expanding wedding planning company dedicated to providing exceptional event experiences for couples across the United States. With a passionate team and a commitment to excellence, we specialize in curating memorable weddings that reflect our clients' unique styles and dreams. Our reputation is built on meticulous attention to detail, personalized service, and seamless execution, which has earned us a trusted spot in the wedding planning industry. As we continue to grow, we are excited to welcome new planners for the 2026 season and beyond, offering a rewarding opportunity to join a forward-thinking company in a flexible, contract-based role.
This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and have a deep passion for creating unforgettable wedding experiences. As a Lead Wedding Planner with Leigh & Co. Events, you will play a pivotal role in managing and executing some of the most important days in our clients' lives. This contract position provides the freedom to create your own schedule while benefiting from comprehensive training to ensure your success. Compensation is competitive, with a pay rate of $300 for a 10-12 hour commitment per project, reflecting the importance and responsibility of the role.
In this position, you will be responsible for delivering essential wedding planning services primarily onsite, overseeing every detail from rehearsal to the end of the event. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with our client experience managers throughout the planning process, ensuring all aspects align with the clients' vision and expectations. You will also manage assistant coordinators during events, leading a team to ensure smooth operation and flawless execution.
Your day-to-day duties will include participating in a final details call with clients approximately six weeks before the wedding to confirm logistics, timelines, and expectations. On the day before the wedding, you will lead the ceremony rehearsal, ensuring all participants are confident and clear on their roles. You will act as the main advocate for the couple during the wedding day, maintaining a calm, solutions-oriented approach to address any challenges efficiently.
You will oversee the setup of both the ceremony and reception according to the event’s design and our detailed day-of execution playbook. Managing the entire wedding day from vendor arrival through the final breakdown, you will serve as the primary point of contact for all vendors, providing clear communication and direction to align with the event plan. Additionally, you will coordinate the placement of personal and event details like escort cards, menus, table numbers, favors, guest books, and décor elements.
Supporting the wedding party and family with guidance and timing cues, you will ensure that the event flows smoothly and that the couple and their guests have a joyful and stress-free experience. At the conclusion of the event, you will ensure all end-of-event items, including gifts and personal décor, are properly packed and accounted for. Proactive problem-solving and quick thinking will be essential as you manage and resolve any last-minute changes or issues, guaranteeing a seamless guest experience.
This opportunity is perfect for experienced wedding planners seeking a flexible, project-based role with a competitive pay structure, a supportive team, and a chance to contribute to creating once-in-a-lifetime memories.
