Leigh & Co. Events is currently seeking talented and passionate Lead Wedding Planners to join the team for the 2026 wedding season and beyond. This is a contract role that offers flexibility in scheduling, ideal for planners who appreciate autonomy while contributing to delivering beautiful, memorable weddings. The compensation for the Lead Wedding Planner position is $350 per project, covering a total of 10-12 hours of work. Thorough training is provided to ensure that every planner is well-equipped with the knowledge and tools needed to excel in the role.

In this dynamic role, the Lead Wedding Planner acts as the central figure during wedding events, coordinating all aspects of the day and serving as the couple's main advocate. The planner will work closely with client experience managers and assistant coordinators to guarantee a flawless and enjoyable celebration. Responsibilities include conducting final details calls with clients to confirm logistics and expectations, leading ceremony rehearsals, managing vendor arrivals and setup processes, and overseeing the execution of the entire wedding day. The planner must maintain calm and effective communication, handle any challenges collaboratively, and support the wedding party and family members with timing cues and guidance. By engaging proactively and attentively in all facets of the event, the Lead Wedding Planner plays a crucial role in ensuring a memorable experience for couples and their guests. Job Duties

  • Conduct a final details call with clients approximately 6 weeks prior to the wedding to confirm logistics, timelines, and expectations
  • lead the ceremony rehearsal the day before the wedding, ensuring all participants are confident with timings, processional flow, and key cues
  • act as the couple's primary advocate on-site, maintaining a calm and solutions-focused demeanor while supporting them through any challenges that may arise
  • oversee the setup of both the ceremony and reception in accordance with the event design and day-of execution guidelines
  • manage the full execution of the wedding day, from the arrival of vendors until the final breakdown at the end of the evening
  • welcome, direct, and serve as the main point of contact for all vendors
  • clearly communicate setup instructions to vendors to ensure alignment with the event plan
  • coordinate and assist with the placement of personal and event details, including escort cards, menus, table numbers, favors, guest books, and décor elements
  • support the wedding party and family members with guidance, timing cues, and any day-of needs
  • ensure that all end-of-event items (gifts, guest book, personal décor, etc.) are properly packed and accounted for
  • proactively manage and resolve any issues or last-minute changes to maintain a smooth and enjoyable guest experience
