Job Description
Leigh & Co. Events is a rapidly growing wedding planning company that specializes in creating memorable wedding experiences for clients across the United States. Known for its personalized approach and attention to detail, Leigh & Co. Events has built a strong reputation in the wedding industry by helping couples bring their dream weddings to life. The company emphasizes collaboration, creativity, and impeccable execution, making it a sought-after partner for couples planning their special day. With a focus on customer satisfaction and seamless event management, Leigh & Co. Events continues to expand its reach and influence in the wedding planning sector.
As a Lead Wedding Planner with Leigh & Co. Events, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional wedding planning services primarily on-site. This contract role offers the flexibility to choose your own schedule, providing a perfect opportunity for aspiring and experienced planners to grow their careers while working on meaningful projects. Each wedding project offers a rate of $350 for 10 to 12 hours of dedicated work, making it a rewarding way to earn income while doing what you love. The company provides comprehensive training to ensure planners are well-prepared to meet client expectations and manage all aspects of the wedding day successfully.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with client experience managers and assistant coordinators to ensure that every detail of the wedding day runs smoothly. Your responsibilities will include conducting final details calls with clients approximately six weeks before the wedding to review logistics, timelines, and expectations to guarantee flawless execution. Additionally, you will lead and facilitate rehearsals the day before the event to prepare all participants and ensure everything is coordinated perfectly. On the wedding day, you will act as the primary advocate for the couple, maintaining a calm and solution-oriented approach even when faced with unexpected challenges.
Your leadership will be essential in overseeing ceremony and reception setup, making sure the event design is aligned with the client’s vision by following the company’s detailed day-of execution playbook. From vendor arrival through final breakdown, you will manage all activities, serving as the main liaison between vendors and ensuring clear communication and adherence to setup instructions. You will also assist with the placement of personal and event details like escort cards, menus, table numbers, and décor elements, ensuring every aspect is beautifully presented.
Throughout the day, you will provide timing cues and support to the wedding party and family members, ensuring that everyone feels confident and supported. At the end of the event, you will be responsible for packing and accounting for all end-of-event items such as gifts, guest books, and décor. Your proactive attitude will be key in managing and resolving any last-minute issues to maintain a smooth and enjoyable experience for the couple and their guests.
Leigh & Co. Events is excited to welcome dedicated lead wedding planners who are passionate about creating unforgettable weddings and are ready to contribute to a dynamic and supportive team for the 2026 season and beyond. This role is perfect for individuals seeking flexibility, a chance to develop their professional skills, and the opportunity to be part of a fast-growing wedding planning company.
