The Lead Wedding Planner role at Leigh & Co. Events presents a highly rewarding opportunity for individuals who are enthusiastic about creating exceptional wedding experiences. This is a contract position designed to offer flexibility, allowing planners to set their own schedules and manage their workload effectively. With a compensation rate of $350 for 10-12 hours of work per project, this role is ideal for skilled planners seeking to be part of a collaborative and prestigious company. Leigh & Co. Events provides comprehensive training to ensure each Lead Planner is fully equipped to succeed in this role. Starting from the 2026 season and continuing thereafter, planners will become essential members of the team, working closely with Client Experience Managers and Assistant Coordinators to deliver impeccable onsite wedding services. The Lead Planner’s responsibilities involve detailed coordination, hands-on management during the wedding day, and acting as the primary liaison to ensure client satisfaction. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, clear communication, and a solutions-oriented mindset to handle any challenges with calm professionalism. It is perfect for professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments and have a passion for orchestrating beautiful, memorable events for couples nationwide.

Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Conduct final details call with clients six weeks before the wedding to finalize logistics, timelines, and expectations
  • Lead and facilitate the rehearsal ceremony to prepare participants
  • Act as the primary onsite advocate for the couple ensuring a calm and solutions-oriented presence
  • Oversee ceremony and reception setup according to event design and execution plan
  • Manage the entire wedding day process from vendor arrival to final breakdown
  • Welcome, direct, and serve as the main contact for all vendors
  • Coordinate and assist with placement of personal and event details such as escort cards, menus, table numbers, favors, guest books, and decor
  • Provide support to wedding party and family members by offering guidance and fulfilling day-of needs
  • Ensure all end-of-event items are packed and accounted for
  • Proactively address and resolve last-minute issues or changes to ensure a flawless guest experience
