Job Description
Chick-fil-A Supply is a wholly owned subsidiary of Chick-fil-A, Inc., dedicated exclusively to providing tailored distribution services that meet the unique needs and high standards of Chick-fil-A restaurants. As a key player in the supply chain ecosystem for Chick-fil-A, Chick-fil-A Supply is actively engaged in bringing innovation to distribution, aligning tightly with the Chick-fil-A culture of care—not only to the customers they serve but also to their employees. This emerging subsidiary operates within a dynamic, fast-paced environment and is focused on launching and expanding service capabilities across restaurants nationwide, adapting to the growth and evolving complexities within the company’s operations consistently seen year-over-year.
Chick-fil-A Supply plans and executes innovative logistical strategies as part of their mission to deliver remarkable service and maintain the reliability customers expect from the Chick-fil-A brand. Operating with a focus on continuous improvement, this team aims to bring a results-driven approach to optimizing distribution workflows, efficiency, and workforce training.
The Lead Warehouse Team Member role within Chick-fil-A Supply is a pivotal position that orchestrates the smooth operation and execution of daily warehouse functions. This role assumes responsibility for leading and coordinating workflow, planning labor resources, ensuring on-time and accurate order fulfillment, and administrating warehouse management systems (WMS). The Lead Warehouse Team Member acts as a key liaison between inbound carriers and internal teams, maintaining constant communication to ensure operational goals are consistently met.
The role also emphasizes a significant training component, where the Lead Warehouse Team Member delivers comprehensive onboarding and continuous training programs to both new and experienced warehouse staff. Scope of training includes powered industrial truck certifications, cross-role training, efficiency coaching, certification, and re-certification initiatives. In partnership with leadership, this individual plans labor needs daily and weekly, drives the effectiveness of training protocols, and supports continuous improvement initiatives aligned with operational best practices.
Beyond coordinating logistical and training activities, the Lead also manages critical administrative tasks such as managing order changes in WMS, coordinating with customer service and transportation teams to meet urgent delivery requests, overseeing pre-load trailer inspections in line with temperature protocols, and performing end-of-day reconciliations to validate order fulfillment. This position demands exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate records and ensure all operational documentation—digital and physical—is properly maintained and accessible.
The ideal candidate will have over two years of warehouse experience, excel in communication and leadership, and demonstrate a strong safety record. Certified in pallet rider, counterbalance, and hi-reach equipment operation, the candidate must also be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and demonstrate the ability to work independently while maintaining a proactive and solution-oriented approach. With a minimum education requirement of a high school diploma or GED, this role also prefers candidates with an associate's degree. Travel requirements are minimal, estimated at 10%, positioned to support the growth trajectory of this exciting new Chick-fil-A distribution service subsidiary.
