Job Description
Chick-fil-A Supply is a wholly owned subsidiary of Chick-fil-A, Inc. The company serves as a dedicated distribution service provider focused entirely on meeting the unique needs of Chick-fil-A restaurants. Established to support the steady and consistent growth of Chick-fil-A’s restaurant operations, Chick-fil-A Supply is committed to innovation in distribution that enhances the experience for the restaurants it serves and fosters a culture of care for its employees. As a new and dynamic subsidiary in the early stages of development, Chick-fil-A Supply operates in a fast-paced environment centered on launching and scaling new supply chain services to Chick-fil-A restaurants nationwide. The company’s mission reflects the core values of Chick-fil-A, emphasizing excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement in serving their restaurant partners efficiently and effectively.
The role of Lead Warehouse Team Member at Chick-fil-A Supply is a critical position responsible for overseeing multiple key warehouse tasks and ensuring the smooth execution of daily warehouse operations. This position involves coordinating workflows, labor planning, and resource management across the facility to optimize daily output. The Lead Warehouse Team Member also actively interacts with inbound carriers and manages administrative tasks within warehouse management systems to maintain seamless operational flow. Additionally, a major component of the role is training—both new hires and seasoned team members—in various warehouse functions such as powered industrial truck (PIT) training, cross-training for warehouse roles, and efficiency coaching. The Lead Warehouse Team Member drives training certification and recertification programs while continuously improving training materials and delivery.
Functioning as a coordinator and trainer, this role partners closely with building leadership to plan labor needs, ensure daily operational goals are met, and enhance training effectiveness. The position requires a hands-on approach to managing inbound and outbound warehouse functions, including order management, resource allocation, and quality control of receiving and shipping processes. The Lead Warehouse Team Member also plays a key role in organizing training programs that support the development and certification of new team members, maintaining warehouse skills matrices, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives such as Gemba walks and Kaizen events.
The compensation for this role is $28 per hour, reflecting the importance and complexity of the responsibilities held by the Lead Warehouse Team Member. The company values candidates with a strong safety record, independent work ethic, excellent communication skills, and experience with warehouse management systems. The role also involves some travel, estimated at 10%, and the preferred educational level is an associate's degree though a high school diploma or GED is required.
In summary, Chick-fil-A Supply offers a unique opportunity for individuals looking to grow their careers in warehouse operations within a supportive and innovative company culture that values training, efficiency, and operational excellence. The Lead Warehouse Team Member role is essential to the success of this new distribution service and promises a challenging, rewarding environment with opportunities for personal and professional development.
