Job Description
Towne Park is a leading hospitality services company dedicated to creating exceptional guest experiences through compassionate and professional service. With a focus on delivering smiles to millions of patients, visitors, and guests nationwide, Towne Park prides itself on being more than just a workplace – it is a place where employees can truly make a positive impact every day. The company’s commitment to excellence is rooted in aggressive hospitality philosophy and a culture that values every interaction, whether it is comforting a patient and their family, assisting visitors in an unfamiliar city, or supporting colleagues and team members. Towne Park’s dynamic work environment fosters teamwork, respect, and outstanding service standards that set the company apart in the hospitality industry.
The role of the Guest Service Captain at Towne Park is a vital position that goes beyond typical customer service responsibilities. This role orchestrates the service experience for hotel guests, ensuring that the site’s service standards are consistently met or surpassed. The Guest Service Captain works closely with coworkers and operates under the supervision of the Account Manager to oversee coordination, administration, and problem-solving on-site. While not a managerial position, the role demands the ability to independently handle critical issues and make sound judgment calls when immediate action is necessary. When situations are non-urgent, the Guest Service Captain reports to the manager and seeks their guidance to maintain smooth operations.
Compensation for this position includes an hourly base pay of $17 plus tips, with employees typically earning an additional $25 to $50 in tips per shift. The role requires availability primarily during PM hours and weekends to accommodate the peak hospitality periods. Employees holding this position have access to various benefits such as accident insurance, critical illness insurance, hospital indemnity insurance, telemedicine services, and eligibility to participate in the company’s 401k retirement savings plan. Benefit eligibility varies based on employment classification, duration of employment, and hours worked, with seasonal and temporary employees excluded from some benefits.
Key responsibilities include maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor with all guests and staff, greeting guests promptly, facilitating valet and bell services, managing vehicle parking and retrieval with accuracy and care, and addressing guest inquiries and needs with a detailed knowledge of the property and local amenities. The Guest Service Captain also leads by example to promote teamwork, assigns certain roles to associates as directed by the Account Manager, and ensures compliance with safety, security, and confidentiality standards, including HIPAA requirements.
Physically, this job involves significant activity, including regular walking, standing, lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Essential skills include proper vehicle operation, including driving manual transmission cars, strong communication abilities, and basic mathematical aptitude to manage cash and reconcile accounts accurately. The position requires passing background checks, drug screens, and completing specific safety training.
Towne Park seeks candidates who are motivated to deliver superior service, demonstrate reliability and professionalism, and can thrive in a fast-paced, guest-centric environment. Joining Towne Park as a Guest Service Captain means becoming part of a company that values your contributions and recognizes the meaningful impact of your work on guests and the hospitality community as a whole.
