The Guest Experience Captain role at Towne Park is a critical position that functions at the forefront of guest engagement and service facilitation. This position is responsible for orchestrating the service experience to ensure that guests receive the highest standards of hospitality. Working under the guidance of the Account Manager, the Guest Experience Captain takes on additional responsibilities that include coordination, administrative duties, and providing direction when the manager is unavailable. Although not a managerial role, the Guest Experience Captain is empowered to handle pressing situations and make timely decisions to maintain smooth operations and uphold company standards.
Compensation for the Guest Experience Captain position is competitive, with an hourly wage ranging from $17 to $18, plus tips. This compensation reflects the candidate's skills, experience, education, and location. They will actively participate in delivering aggressive hospitality, assist with vehicle parking, luggage handling, guest inquiries, and room services, while maintaining composure and accuracy under pressure. A strong emphasis is placed on teamwork, leadership by example, and effective communication. The Guest Experience Captain will manage key controls, uphold confidentiality according to HIPAA regulations, and ensure the safety and comfort of all guests.
This position requires at least six months of related experience or equivalent education, a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, and the ability to successfully complete safety training. Physical demands include the ability to lift substantial weight, stand or walk for long periods, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED
- six months related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- valid driver’s license
- clean driving record
- at least 18 years old
- pass criminal background check
- pass drug screen
- complete Wheelchair Safety Training
- ability to lift up to 100 pounds
- ability to stand or walk for extended periods
- ability to work outdoors in varying weather
- ability to talk and hear
- ability to see with close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception and focus adjustment
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED
- valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- ability to complete Wheelchair Safety Training provided by Towne Park
- at least 18 years of age
- knowledge of customer service principles
- ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence
- effective communication skills
- basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- ability to understand 24 hour and military time
- familiarity with applicable rates
- ability to operate manual transmission preferred
- skill in parallel parking
Job Duties
- maintains a pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, client staff members and coworkers
- acknowledges and greets guests within 30 seconds of arrival
- participates in 'The Show' and delivers 'Aggressive Hospitality'
- opens vehicle and hotel doors for guests
- checks in arriving guests and explains parking and retrieval procedures
- parks and retrieves vehicles safely
- assists guests with bell services and luggage storage
- conducts thorough room presentations
- assists with room changes
- uses proper phone etiquette
- provides directions, taxi and reservation assistance
- maintains detailed knowledge of client facility and local area
- promotes teamwork and effective communication
- leads work group in guest service delivery
- assigns routine and special roles to coworkers
- manages staff levels per Account Manager's directions
- issues claim checks and secures vehicle keys
- ensures assistance complies with service standards
- checks and cleans wheelchairs
- protects guest confidentiality and security of information
