Within the dynamic environment of Encore Boston Harbor, the role of the Lead Valet Attendant is central to delivering an exceptional guest experience. The Lead Valet Attendant is responsible for providing professional, courteous, and efficient valet services, ensuring each guest’s arrival and departure are handled with the utmost care and attention to detail. This position requires guiding guests through the valet process, issuing valet tickets with accuracy, and coordinating closely with other team members such as Bell and Door Persons to facilitate smooth traffic flow and operational efficiency. The Lead Valet Attendant not only performs the core tasks of writing tickets and greeting guests but also supports management decisions regarding lane designations, signage, and front drive traffic control.

In addition to hands-on duties, this role involves overseeing the valet team’s performance, encouraging urgency and efficiency based on business demands, and strictly adhering to company security and vehicle access protocols. The candidate must be skilled in operating and parking both automatic and manual transmission vehicles, proficient in cash handling procedures, and exhibit outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills. This role demands a consistent focus on exceeding guest expectations through positive interactions, effective communication, and meticulous attention to detail.

Job Requirements

21 years of age or above
Valid Massachusetts driver's license
Ability to obtain and maintain registration or license from the Massachusetts Gaming Commission
Ability to perform each job responsibility satisfactorily
Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands and arms for various movements
Ability to lift or maneuver at least 50 pounds
Ability to work varying schedules, including outdoors in all weather conditions
Ability to interact professionally with guests and internal staff
Ability to work in a moderate to loud noise environment
Compliance with company safety and PPE requirements

Job Qualifications

High school degree or equivalent preferred
Minimum 3 years of experience performing valet duties preferred
Knowledge of Microsoft Office a plus
Outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as policy and procedure manuals
Ability to respond to inquiries from employees or guests
Conversational English required, second language a plus
Ability to write instructions and present information
Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations and interpret reports

Job Duties

Ensures all Encore Boston Harbor core values and property and department standards are implemented and applied
Assists management with decisions regarding lane designations, signage, and overall traffic control on the Front Drive
Performs the primary function of writing tickets and greeting guests with focus on service standards
Supports management to ensure Valet Attendants operate efficiently and with urgency
Follows all company security and validation procedures to ensure authorized vehicle access
Operates and parks both automatic and stick shift vehicles
Participates in short-and long-term departmental goals, monitors operational effectiveness, and identifies key drivers of success
Maintains confidentiality, thoroughness, and accuracy of departmental policies and records
Follows all applicable internal policies, federal and state laws, rules, and regulations
Delivers and maintains a maximum level of property-wide service and satisfaction
Balances multiple priorities simultaneously and meets deadlines in high-pressure situations
Works with safety as a priority and follows company safety standards
Maintains knowledge of industry through continuing education and training
Performs any other job-related duties as assigned
