Job Description
ABM (NYSE: ABM) is a leading global provider of facility services and solutions, known for its commitment to fostering cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable environments. Established in 1909, ABM has grown to serve over 20,000 clients worldwide, across a broad spectrum of industries including commercial office buildings, universities, airports, hospitals, data centers, manufacturing plants, distribution centers, and entertainment venues. With annualized revenues nearing $8 billion and a workforce exceeding 100,000 employees, ABM operates in more than 350 offices across the United States, United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, and other international locations. The company's comprehensive suite of services covers everything from janitorial and engineering to parking, electrical and lighting, energy and electric vehicle charging infrastructure, HVAC and mechanical systems, landscape and turf, and mission-critical solutions.
This particular role focuses on operations and leadership within the valet and parking services division of ABM. The position operates from 4 pm to 11 pm, Tuesday through Saturday, providing a work schedule that balances evening work hours with weekend shifts. ABM offers a comprehensive benefits package, underscoring its dedication to employee welfare and development. The hourly pay rate for this job varies based on factors including the applicant's experience, skills, geographic location, and alignment with industry market data.
In this supervisory and operational role, the successful candidate will provide leadership and direction to a team responsible for valet and parking services on assigned properties. Responsibilities include managing daily operations such as scheduling, monitoring client and guest communications, overseeing vehicle parking and retrieval, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and traffic laws, and maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the work environment. The role also demands close attention to details like key and access card management, handling service requests promptly, and training new hires to ensure seamless onboarding.
Employees in this role act as key liaison points between the field team and management, fostering effective communication and promptly reporting any operational barriers or issues arising on-site. The position also involves financial responsibilities such as reconciling daily revenues, managing tip pools, and projecting currency needs. Supervisory duties extend to ensuring adherence to valet procedures, coordinating traffic flow during peak times, and providing excellent customer service by interacting cordially with guests and responding to their inquiries.
Given the outdoor nature of the job, incumbents must be prepared to work in various weather conditions and maintain stamina for extended periods while standing or moving throughout the facility. Safety is a paramount concern, requiring employees to handle vehicles safely by following all traffic and facility regulations, including pedestrian safety. This role offers a unique blend of operational leadership, customer service, and hands-on activities that contribute directly to the positive perception and smooth functioning of the client properties served by ABM.
ABM prides itself on being an Equal Opportunity Employer that embraces diversity and inclusion, welcoming applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status. The company also values veterans and individuals with disabilities, providing accommodations as needed to support an inclusive workplace. In addition, ABM participates in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s E-Verify program to ensure employment eligibility, and it provides robust training resources to help employees advance in their careers within the company.
Overall, this position presents a compelling career opportunity for individuals with leadership experience in customer service and parking operations. Candidates who are detail-oriented, proactive in communication, safety-conscious, and passionate about working in dynamic environments will find this role rewarding. It also offers a pathway for professional growth within ABM’s expansive and diversified service network, supported by a strong benefit structure and a dedicated team culture.
