Northrop Grumman Space Systems, within the Multi-Domain Operations and Missile Defense Integration Business Unit, is seeking a Test Engineer Lead - Test Automation (Level 4) to join their team in Colorado Springs, CO. This role is primarily onsite with limited remote or hybrid options and involves collaboration between the Schriever Space Force Base and Northrop Grumman’s facility. The position focuses on leading the transformation of software projects from manual testing to automated testing in support of the Modeling and Simulation Vistas – Threat and Advanced Simulations Development (MSV-TASD) program.

The Test Engineer Lead will be responsible for overseeing automated test design, development, and integration across a portfolio of simulation software products, including Threat Modeling and Simulation Software (TMSS), Red-Force Objective Simulation Environment (ROSE), Missile Defense Advanced Simulation (MDASim), Threat Generator External (TGx), and Missile Defense Space Tool (MDST). The role involves designing automated regression, integration, and end-to-end test suites, creating test tools and harnesses, embedding automation into CI/CD pipelines, and coaching software teams on test automation best practices. This challenging position requires a proactive leader who can drive quality improvements through rigorous testing and continuous integration while engaging with customers and stakeholders to present test strategies and results.
