Job Description

KinderCare Learning Companies is a renowned early childhood education provider known for its unwavering commitment to nurturing young minds and supporting families. Recognized as the first and only early childhood education provider to receive the Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award, KinderCare has established itself as a trusted name in early education and child care services. Operating over 2,000 sites and centers across 40 states and the District of Columbia, KinderCare offers a range of programs including KinderCare Learning Centers, Champions, and Creme de la Creme, each designed to foster confidence, learning, and growth in children. Their mission is centered around providing high-quality, research-backed, accredited, and customizable child care and educational experiences that cater to the diverse needs of families from coast to coast.

Joining KinderCare means becoming part of a community that values passion, dedication, and collaboration. The company’s culture is built on the belief that every family deserves access to exceptional child care regardless of their background or location. Employees are supported not only professionally but personally, with benefits and programs that promote mental health, wellness, and work-life balance. KinderCare's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion ensures that all employees are respected and valued, making it a genuinely welcoming workplace.

The role of a Lead Teacher at KinderCare Learning Companies is both rewarding and impactful. As a Lead Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational foundation for young learners. You will lead, coach, and mentor less experienced teachers within your classroom while modeling best practices and providing constructive feedback. Implementing KinderCare’s curriculum tailored to the unique developmental needs of each child will be a central part of your responsibilities. Creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment is essential, allowing children to thrive through play and learning.

Building strong partnerships with parents and caregivers is another crucial aspect of the position. You will work collaboratively to ensure the best care and educational outcomes for each child. Furthermore, you will contribute to the overall success of your center by working closely with center staff and leadership teams to meet goals related to enrollment, accreditation, and family engagement. Your role also includes cultivating positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts, and corporate partners to enhance the learning environment and support KinderCare’s mission.

This full-time position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $19.38 to $24.84, with an additional $3.00 per hour premium for classroom hours worked in Minnesota, funded through the Minnesota Great Start Grant Compensation Support Program. The comprehensive benefit package is designed to meet employees wherever they are in life, including discounted child care, medical, dental, and vision benefits (which also cover pets), employee assistance programs for mental health and personal growth, health and wellness programs, paid time off, and various discounts for work necessities.

As part of the KinderCare family, you will experience the satisfaction of making a tangible difference in the lives of children and families while growing in a supportive and vibrant workplace. The role of Lead Teacher is not just a job; it is a career dedicated to fostering confident learners and future leaders, surrounded by a community that values and celebrates your contributions.
