Job Description

VCC is a nationally recognized construction company known for its commitment to excellence and its people-centered culture. Starting from a single office in Little Rock, Arkansas, the company has expanded to nine offices nationwide with projects completed in all 50 states. Consistently ranked among ENR's Top 100 contractors, VCC has maintained a strong financial position thanks to its debt-free and financially conservative philosophy. This ensures a stable working environment where the focus is on quality workmanship and delivering superior construction services to clients. VCC's culture emphasizes teamwork, respect, and the growth of its employees, providing opportunities for career advancement and personal development in a supportive environment. The company values integrity, passion for construction, and a dedication to hard work, aiming to build lasting relationships with clients and partners.

The role of a Traveling Superintendent at VCC is integral to the success of the company's projects. As a key leader on site, you will manage the construction project from mobilization through completion, ensuring that each phase is executed efficiently and safely according to specifications and schedules. This position requires extensive knowledge and experience in overseeing ground-up, multi-million dollar commercial construction projects, particularly within the hospitality sector. The Superintendent acts as the primary point of contact for subcontractors and internal teams, coordinating work sequences, addressing challenges, and maintaining quality control and safety standards on all job sites. Being in a safety-sensitive role, you will enforce safety policies vigorously and foster a culture of safety throughout the project team.

The travel aspect of the position means you will oversee multiple locations, requiring flexibility and adaptability as you manage various teams and subcontractors across different sites. You will ensure that procurement, permits, inspections, and regulatory requirements are met promptly, keeping projects on budget and schedule. VCC offers competitive wages ranging from $130,000 to $150,000 annually for this full-time position, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, life insurance, 401(k) programs, paid time off, and parental leave, among others. This position is ideal for professionals located in Northern California or willing to travel frequently to support VCC's projects nationwide. You will be joining a family-oriented company that supports your professional growth with the tools and backing needed to excel in your career while enjoying a balanced work-life environment.
