Job Requirements
- Experience supervising all phases of ground-up commercial construction projects
- Ability to travel as business requires
- Highly motivated and initiative-driven professional
- Effective communication skills
- Valid active driver's license
- Preferably located in Northern California
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 5-10 years experience supervising multi-million dollar commercial construction projects
- Experience managing hospitality sector projects valued up to $100 million
- Strong leadership skills with a passion for excellence
- Ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels
- Professional demeanor with proactive initiative
- Knowledge of construction safety standards and enforcement
- Valid active driver's license
- Familiarity with local building enforcement procedures preferred
- Located in or willing to travel frequently within Northern California
Job Duties
- Study specifications and contracts to plan construction procedures ensuring safety, quality, and staffing needs are met
- Coordinate expediting lists with project engineers for timely material procurement
- Manage subcontractors' work sequencing to maintain overall schedule and conduct weekly meetings reviewing schedules and safety
- Confer with supervisory personnel and subcontractors to interpret specifications and prevent project delays
- Obtain and monitor necessary permits, building certifications, and inspections
- Collaborate with general superintendents and engineering personnel to resolve construction problems and improve methods
- Enforce company safety policies and foster a culture of safety on site
- Inspect work progress to ensure compliance with specifications and schedules
- Review cost reports and process back charges
- Prepare and review reports on project progress, materials, costs, and daily activities
- Coordinate and approve subcontractor time and material costs
- Perform other duties as assigned
