Job Description

Oak View Group (OVG) is a global leader in premium live entertainment infrastructure and services, with expertise spanning venue development, venue management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales. Established in 2015, OVG has grown to become a key player in the sports and live entertainment industry, operating an impressive portfolio of seven world-class owned venues and supporting an extensive client roster that includes iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions across four continents. The company's multifaceted platform offers end-to-end capabilities that enable it to create unique experiences for audiences and partners alike, helping redefine how live events impact communities and elevate entertainment standards worldwide.

As a company committed to diversity and inclusivity, Oak View Group fosters a collaborative and innovative environment that celebrates differences and drives excellence. Recognizing that a diverse and inclusive workforce fuels creativity and service innovation, OVG strives to create workspaces that reflect the communities it serves, promoting equal opportunity at every level of employment.

The Lead Steward (Union) position at OVG offers an hourly wage range of $18.54 to $23.17, in accordance with a collective bargaining agreement (CBA). This role is crucial within the stewarding department, assisting shift supervisors and department directors in the daily operations of the department. The Lead Steward is responsible for maintaining high-quality standards by training, supporting, and supervising team members, ensuring that daily schedules are assigned and completed, and promoting positive and professional interactions among employees and customers. This leadership role not only upholds operational excellence but also sets a tone of professionalism and respect for all stakeholders, including customers and fellow employees.

The position involves hands-on responsibilities such as waste disposal following proper procedures, cleaning kitchen equipment, and enacting food safety and hygiene regulations. The Lead Steward is instrumental in enforcing HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) procedures, ensuring adherence to stringent food safety standards, and interacting appropriately with customers based on age competencies. In addition to operational tasks, the Lead Steward is expected to provide customer service excellence through detailed attention and quality assurance surveys, assist with inventory management by restocking supplies, and relieve shift supervisors during their absence. Flexibility in schedule, including nights, weekends, and holiday shifts, is an integral part of the role due to the dynamic nature of live events.

Occupying this role means being part of a team-oriented, fast-paced, and event-driven environment, where adaptability and commitment to sanitation, safety, and customer interaction are paramount. Employees in this role will be required to use personal protective equipment properly and maintain operational standards by monitoring equipment and reporting issues. The position also demands a readiness to work overnight shifts when necessary. Employment benefits correspond with the union agreement, ensuring comprehensive coverage and support for team members. The opportunity to join OVG means contributing to an organization that not only sets the benchmark for live entertainment infrastructure but also advocates for a respectful, equitable workplace that upholds integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality at all times. This position will remain open until September 18, 2026, offering potential candidates ample time to apply and join a leading force in the entertainment venue industry.
