The position available is for a Supervisory role within the kitchen operations, specifically overseeing the dish pantry department. This role is essential in ensuring that food service is clean, efficient, and economical. The supervisor manages kitchen employees tasked with collection, sorting, washing, and supplying utensils and dishes necessary for smooth restaurant and banquet operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and operational standards compliant with health regulations, coordinating the repair and maintenance of kitchen and dishwashing equipment, and facilitating communication among team members through regular meetings. Meeting key performance indicators related to operational success is an integral part of this position. This role requires a person who can lead by example, motivating and coaching staff while fostering a harmonious and professional work environment. The position upholds high standards of hygiene, safety, and teamwork. Emphasis is placed on multitasking capabilities, organizational skills, and communication proficiency, making this role pivotal in delivering excellent service to guests and maintaining the reputation of the Pueblo of Sandia's food services. This is a full-time role requiring punctual attendance and the ability to adapt to changing schedules based on business needs. Candidates must be at least 18 years old and have a minimum of two years of stewarding or related experience. Training such as the New Mexico food handlers’ course must be completed within a specified timeframe, and passing background and drug screenings are mandatory. Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED certification or equivalent
- Two years of stewarding or related experience
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Successful completion of New Mexico food handlers' course within 30 days of hire
- Ability to pass stringent background investigation
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment and random drug screenings
- Punctual and regular attendance
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors
- Able to perform physical activities including balancing, climbing, crawling, crouching, finger dexterity, grasping, hearing, kneeling, lifting up to 50 lbs, pulling, pushing, reaching, seeing, walking, sitting, standing, stooping, talking
- Ability to work on various surfaces including uneven and inclined floors
- Willingness to work flexible hours including overtime

Job Duties
- Supervises the dish pantry department in collection of dishes from various outlets, sorting and separation of china, glassware and silverware
- Loads, runs, cleans, and maintains large dish washing machine and ensures clean items meet departmental standards
- Supplies kitchen and wait staff with clean utensils and dishes for service
- Ensures dish washing conveyor and related equipment are maintained, cleaned, and operated according to standards
- Contacts service representatives for repairs and follows up on completion
- Oversees cleaning schedule for dish pantry, walk-in, kitchen production, and banquet areas to ensure cleanliness for inspections
- Organizes and completes quarterly inventory of china, glassware, and silverware and reports results
- Facilitates daily stand-up meetings to communicate property information
- Completes computer assisted training timely
- Oversees packing and transport of dishware for off-premise events and inventories upon return
- Ensures water temperature and chemical levels are appropriate and documented
- Maintains punctual and regular attendance in accordance with policy
