Job Description
Flying Horse Resort and Club, located in the heart of Colorado Springs, is a premier destination for luxury, comfort, and world-class hospitality. This upscale resort is renowned for its exceptional amenities, including two championship golf courses, a luxury hotel, a state-of-the-art fitness club, a rejuvenating spa, and fine dining options. Set against the stunning backdrop of the Colorado landscape, Flying Horse Resort and Club offers guests an unparalleled experience that combines elegance, relaxation, and active recreation.
Established as a leading resort and club in the region, Flying Horse takes pride in its dedication to delivering exceptional service and unique experiences to its members and guests. The resort fosters a dynamic and vibrant work environment where employees are encouraged to bring their diverse skills and experiences to the table. The team is composed of passionate hospitality professionals committed to creating memorable moments for every visitor.
We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Lead Spa Concierge to join our distinguished Spa team. This position is crucial in managing the front desk reception team and is vital in setting the tone for the entire spa environment. The Lead Spa Concierge will be the face of the spa for Club Members and guests, consistently delivering an elevated customer service experience. As an example setter, the Lead Spa Concierge will promote professionalism, positivity, and attentiveness, ensuring all staff meet the high standards expected by Flying Horse Resort and Club.
This role involves leading the reception team by handling employee concerns, managing communication through platforms such as Slack, and assisting the Spa Manager with interviewing, training, mentoring, and disciplinary actions as needed. The Lead Spa Concierge will coordinate monthly service promotions and product discounts and ensure the team maintains a polished and professional appearance.
Responsibilities extend to warmly greeting guests, managing appointment bookings, accurately checking guests in and out, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of both the reception area and relaxation spaces in the spa. The role also requires maintaining appointment flow, stocking retail products, reviewing daily service transactions, and assisting in gathering client feedback to drive continuous service improvements.
In addition to operational duties, the Lead Spa Concierge will foster a respectful and inclusive team environment, sell spa products through the point-of-sale system, and stay informed about marketing initiatives. Building a strong client book through provided marketing tools is an essential part of the role.
The position requires availability to work one weekend day and holidays, performing opening and closing duties, supervising front desk staff, resolving employee or guest issues, troubleshooting software systems including MindBody, JONAS, and Asset Essentials, and providing strategic input to improve workplace efficiency and achieve team goals. Regular review of key performance indicators with the Spa Manager to monitor progress and align objectives is also a key aspect of the role.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of experience in a reception role and an additional year in a leadership position. Exceptional customer service skills, strong communication abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks with precision and professionalism are required. The role demands a dependable, punctual, detail-oriented individual capable of using tact and diplomacy in a high-demand spa environment.
Flying Horse Resort and Club offers part-time and seasonal employees compliance with Colorado labor laws, including paid sick leave accrual under the Colorado Healthy Families and Workplaces Act, workers' compensation, unemployment insurance, and a 401(k) retirement plan with an employer match. Our commitment to employee well-being and professional development makes Flying Horse not just a workplace, but a community where your success starts now.
