The Lead Sommelier position at Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences Nashville is a pivotal role that elevates the guest wine experience to sublime heights. Job Requirements

  • College degree preferably in hotel or restaurant management or equivalent experience
  • minimum of 5 years experience in luxury hotels or upscale restaurants
  • formal wine and spirits training certificate or diploma
  • strong knowledge of wine and beverage service standards
  • proficiency in English
  • computer literacy
  • ability to work full-time hours including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Curate and select wines that align with the property and outlet concepts
  • lead, motivate, and train the team in wine knowledge and service standards
  • serve wine with proper pouring, decanting, and presentation techniques
  • ensure all wines and beverages are served at the correct temperatures
  • maintain detailed knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods
  • anticipate guest needs, respond to inquiries, and provide personalized service
  • manage wine inventory, storage, and rotation
