The hiring organization is a specialized sleep center dedicated to providing comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic services for sleep disorders. The center prides itself on delivering high-quality patient care through a multidisciplinary approach, combining state-of-the-art technology with expert clinical staff. As a recognized leader in the field of sleep medicine, this sleep center operates with a strong commitment to clinical excellence, patient safety, and continuous quality improvement. The facility is equipped with advanced polysomnographic equipment and staffed by experienced sleep technologists, respiratory therapists, and sleep medicine specialists who collaborate to diagnose and manage various sleep disorders such as sleep apnea, insomnia, narcolepsy, and restless leg syndrome. Operating both daytime and nighttime shifts, the center offers tailored patient care in diagnostic sleep studies, therapy management, and ongoing patient education.

The role of Lead Sleep Technologist is a pivotal leadership and clinical position within the sleep center. This position involves providing technical supervision and mentorship to both nighttime and daytime sleep technologists to ensure consistent, accurate, and high-quality sleep studies. The Lead Sleep Technologist conducts, records, and scores sleep studies in real-time, strictly adhering to the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) guidelines. In this capacity, the lead is responsible not only for hands-on clinical testing but also for overseeing quality assurance initiatives and contributing to protocol development for specialized studies. Key operational responsibilities include ensuring the proper functioning and calibration of all sleep lab equipment, backing up patient polysomnographic data, and providing technical support for new procedures and protocols. The lead collaborates closely with the Sleep Center Medical Director and administrative leadership to ensure timely scoring and accurate reporting for physician interpretation, which is essential for efficient patient diagnosis and treatment planning.

This leadership role requires a blend of clinical expertise, operational oversight, and quality management skills, making it integral to maintaining excellence in sleep medicine services. The Lead Sleep Technologist plays a crucial role in patient safety during all testing procedures and supports the day-to-day operations and workflow coordination of the lab. Candidates for this position must be adept at working with both clinical and research populations, demonstrate experience in polysomnographic instrumentation and scoring, and embody strong communication and patient-focused skills. The position requires flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and days, based on patient scheduling, and may require occasional work at the Westwood location. The salary for this position is competitive and reflects the advanced expertise and leadership responsibilities expected from the ideal candidate.
