As part of our continued growth and commitment to excellence, we are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Lead Server to join our dynamic team. This role is a Regular Part-Time position requiring approximately 30 hours per week, with scheduled shifts from Tuesday to Saturday, from 2 PM to 8 PM. The Lead Server will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of service expected at Canterbury Woods, especially within the dining operations. This position does not only involve serving meals but also ensures that all dietary guidelines are followed meticulously and that residents receive outstanding customer service in a fine dining setting.
The Lead Server will act as a vital link between dining staff and management by keeping the dining supervisor informed of any meal-related issues and ensuring seamless meal service operations. They will also be responsible for training new servers, fostering a culture of professionalism and respect aligned with the community's values. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of waitstaff experience
- Ability to train and supervise other staff
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work scheduled shifts Tuesday through Saturday, 2pm to 8pm
- Experience in a fine dining or retirement community setting preferred
- Customer service orientation
Job Qualifications
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with staff, residents, family members, and visitors
- 2 years of waitstaff experience is required
- Experience in dining supervision is preferred
Job Duties
- Ensure that all dietary procedures are followed in accordance with established policies
- Keep the dining supervisor informed of any issues with meal service or any resident meal issues
- Train and work with new servers, ensuring they are following customer service guidelines
- Assist in serving meals as necessary and on a timely basis
- Provide exceptional customer service to residents and guests in a fine dining atmosphere
