Rose Senior Living Beachwood is currently seeking an enthusiastic hospitality-focused Dining Room Lead Server to join their culinary team. This full-time role, offering a competitive wage of $17.00 per hour, is essential in maintaining an inviting dining atmosphere that enhances the overall resident experience. The Dining Room Lead Server role goes beyond basic serving responsibilities; it involves supervising dining room operations in the absence of the Dining Room Manager, coordinating efficient and courteous seating arrangements for residents and guests, and ensuring the dining area's physical appearance meets high standards. This individual is also responsible for scheduling staff, conducting on-the-job training, and maintaining accurate records through the point-of-sale system. The position requires hands-on involvement with serving guests, promoting proper etiquette, and mentoring servers in delivering outstanding customer service. High school diploma or GED or equivalent education, training and experience
Experience in food service work preferred
Experience working with seniors preferred

Job Duties

Supervise the physical appearance of the dining room area and server stations in the absence of the Dining Room Manager
Coordinate the seating of residents and guests efficiently and courteously
Schedule stations and work assignments for wait staff and check out servers to ensure standards are met
Provide on-the-job training for dining room staff including workplace safety procedures
Record meal counts, reservations, and additional charges using the point-of-sale (POS) system
Confer with the Dining Room Manager regarding dining room status
Assign side-work pre and post shift
Assign servers to work stations
Serve customers using proper serving etiquette and promote an inviting dining atmosphere
Train and mentor other servers in all areas of serving and customer service
