Job Duties

  • Works with the dining room manager to achieve departmental objectives
  • Assures that all food service procedures are followed according to established policies
  • Creates and maintains an atmosphere of warmth and positive emphasis in the dining rooms
  • Ensures all meals served are palatable and appetizing
  • Ensures meals are served in a timely fashion
  • Maintains cleanliness of dining areas and manages utensil washing
  • Assigns stations and cleaning or prep tasks to dining room personnel
  • Assists in scheduling dining room staff
  • Assists in recruitment, interviewing, selection and training of servers, hosts and bartenders
  • Supervises wait staff including disciplinary actions when needed
  • Hosts or serves in dining rooms as necessary
  • Works as bartender as needed
  • Develops and implements procedures for efficient supplies use
  • Performs other tasks as assigned
