The role of Lead Server at Sunrise Senior Living involves a pivotal responsibility in delivering high-quality dining services to residents and guests within the community’s dining rooms and designated areas. This position focuses not only on serving meals with impeccable attention to detail but also on training new servers to uphold Sunrise's acclaimed 10 Steps of Service. The Lead Server ensures the dining environment is safe, clean, and welcoming, maintaining all standards of hygiene and food safety in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role also involves assisting with special events, supporting proper dining room setup, conducting checklist monitoring to keep dining areas in optimal condition, and overseeing table top inventory maintenance.
Moreover, the Lead Server plays a key role in fostering a positive dining experience by responding thoughtfully to residents’ inquiries about menu options, providing descriptions of menu items, and accommodating special dietary needs as indicated in confidential diet books and charts. The role requires excellent communication skills, strong organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively, contributing to team success and enhancing customer satisfaction. Job Requirements
- High school diploma preferred or GED accepted
- Minimum one year experience in fine upscale dining hospitality or full-service senior living
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Good judgment and problem solving abilities
- Completion of required safety and training programs
- Ability to maintain resident confidentiality
- Passing drug test, tuberculosis test, physical evaluation, and background check
- Covid-19 and influenza vaccination if mandated
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Provide support to servers in daily dining room operations
