Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- six months of supervisory experience or related experience or training
- frequent walking and standing
- frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling
- ability to push and/or pull rolltainers
- frequent handling of merchandise and equipment
- frequent lifting up to 40 pounds and occasional lifting up to 55 pounds
- occasional climbing up to six feet using a step ladder
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment with moderate noise level
- occasional exposure to outside weather conditions
- occasional driving and providing own transportation to make bank deposits, attend meetings, and travel to other stores
Job Qualifications
- Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills
- understanding of safety policies and practices
- ability to read and follow planogram and merchandise presentation guides
- ability to perform mathematical calculations
- ability to perform cash register functions
- knowledge of cash, facility, and safety control policies
- knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control
- ability to drive own vehicle to the bank to deposit money
Job Duties
- Provide superior customer service leadership
- greet and assist customers
- operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total customer's purchase
- collect payment and make change
- bag merchandise
- assist customers with merchandise
- follow company processes to receive, open, unpack, and stock merchandise
- restock and rotate merchandise on shelves
- build merchandise displays
- clean the store including trash removal, dusting, mopping floors, cleaning restrooms and stockrooms
- help set up sidewalk displays
- assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms
- open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager
- perform additional duties of Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager in their absence
