With a history of partnership with the Tigers since 1930, Delaware North has established a reputation for excellence and unique culinary experiences, including an exclusive Tiger Club that offers guests a full view of the field along with Detroit-inspired menus. As a family-owned company with more than 100 years of history, Delaware North emphasizes employee growth, development, and well-being, supporting a global legacy of hospitality excellence.
Delaware North is currently seeking a full-time Lead Retail Supervisor to join its team at Comerica Park. This role is pivotal in supporting daily operations and game day or special event retail activities, ensuring smooth and efficient retail service delivery. The Lead Retail Supervisor acts as a hands-on leader by supervising team members, assisting with staffing, delegating tasks, resolving issues, and solving daily operational challenges during events. This position requires close collaboration with warehouse leadership to maintain inventory accuracy, enforce control standards, perform inventory counts and reconciliation, and prepare merchandise for events and e-commerce fulfillment.
The role offers an hourly pay rate between $20.00 and $24.00 and encompasses a dynamic work environment with shifts that include days, evenings, holidays, and weekends. The Lead Retail Supervisor will take turns serving as the rotating manager on duty, providing oversight and support during concerts and special events. Candidates for this position should have previous cash handling experience, proficiency with point of sale (POS) systems, and a minimum of one year of supervisory experience in a retail or customer service environment. A high school diploma or GED is required.
Delaware North is committed to its employees by offering comprehensive benefits designed to support personal and professional well-being. These include weekly pay, training and development opportunities, employee discounts, and flexible work schedules. Eligible team members may receive health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid vacation and holidays, paid parental bonding leave, access to an employee assistance program, and tuition or professional certification reimbursement.
This role requires physical capabilities such as the ability to lift up to 35 pounds, constant standing, lifting, climbing stairs, repetitive motions, bending, reaching, and climbing ladders. The Lead Retail Supervisor will serve as a working lead and a point of contact for part-time team members, supporting their training and development. With its legacy, diverse operational footprint, and a culture that values inclusivity and equal opportunity employment, Delaware North offers an excellent platform for career advancement and growth in the hospitality and retail sectors. Join Delaware North and contribute to shaping the future of hospitality while enjoying the opportunity to work at one of America's iconic sports venues.
