StoryPoint of Abbot Park is a prominent senior living community located at 6300 Abbot Road, East Lansing, MI. Recognized for its commitment to providing an exceptional living experience for seniors, StoryPoint combines compassionate care with engaging amenities to promote the well-being and independence of its residents. As part of the wider StoryPoint company, this community emphasizes a warm, welcoming environment with a focus on delivering personalized services that cater to the unique needs and preferences of each resident. Established with a reputation for innovative senior care solutions, StoryPoint of Abbot Park stands as a leader in the senior living sector, offering various programs aimed at enriching the lives of older adults while ensuring safety and comfort. The community is professionally managed and prides itself on its team-oriented culture where employees are valued and supported in their growth and development.
We are currently seeking a dedicated Lead Receptionist to join our team on a full-time basis, accepting variable shifts which include 8am to 7pm, 8am to 1:30pm, or 1:30pm to 7:00pm. This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $18, reflecting the importance we place on the role's contribution to our community. The Lead Receptionist will act as the first point of contact for residents, guests, and staff, providing courteous and efficient service in a professional manner. This role is pivotal in setting the tone and experience for everyone entering our community, delivering what we call a "1440 experience"—a comprehensive and positive interaction that reflects our resident-centered approach.
The ideal candidate will be instrumental in managing front desk operations, answering telephone inquiries, greeting visitors, facilitating resident check-ins, and distributing applications to prospective employees. Additional responsibilities include aiding in hiring processes, training and scheduling staff, and ensuring effective communication by sorting and delivering mail and messages. This role requires thorough knowledge of the community facilities and local information to assist residents and visitors effectively. The Lead Receptionist will also coordinate the use of shared spaces like private dining areas and oversee work orders for maintenance as needed. Understanding emergency procedures and call systems is essential to guarantee resident safety and prompt responses in critical situations.
Working at StoryPoint of Abbot Park offers the opportunity to be part of a supportive and professional environment where your efforts contribute directly to enhancing the quality of life of senior residents. The role demands a polished, professional appearance and the ability to perform multiple administrative tasks efficiently and independently while maintaining excellent communication with supervisors and team members. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental, vision, 401(k) plans, income protection, and exceptional work-life balance benefits, underscoring our commitment to supporting our team’s overall well-being.
Join StoryPoint of Abbot Park and be part of a team that values respect, excellence, and community.
