The casino offers a rich and entertaining experience, featuring multiple dining venues, event spaces, and a dynamic gaming floor. As part of its commitment to guest satisfaction and operational excellence, the casino maintains a rigorous focus on cleanliness, sanitation, and efficient kitchen stewardship to ensure every visitor enjoys a safe and pleasant atmosphere.
The casino is currently seeking a full-time Kitchen Stewarding Supervisor to lead and manage the stewarding operations during assigned shifts. This role is pivotal in maintaining the hygiene and sanitation standards across all food production and service areas. Working under the direct supervision of the Steward Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible not only for the day-to-day activities such as dish room operations, back dock maintenance, banquet plating, and food running, but also for overseeing the cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment and storage areas. The position demands an individual who is organized, able to handle a fast-paced work environment, and who has a keen eye for detail in sanitation practices.
As a Kitchen Stewarding Supervisor at Desert Diamond Casino, the individual will take charge of stewarding staff, guiding and developing team members while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The role involves training stewards on safety protocols, monitoring chemical levels in dish machines, managing cooler and freezer organization, and coordinating with other departments like Warehouse, Restaurant chefs, Food & Beverage Managers, and Bar Managers to maintain smooth operations.
This position offers a competitive starting pay ranging from $18.01 to $24.36 per hour, reflecting the candidate's experience and skills. The role is not only about supervision but also about fostering a team environment built on mutual trust, respect, and cooperation. The Kitchen Stewarding Supervisor is expected to uphold Desert Diamond Casino's Spirit of Service Standards and model the company’s culture by leading by example.
Key responsibilities also include managing inventory levels to ensure adequate equipment availability, handling disciplinary procedures fairly and consistently, and supporting executive management goals related to performance, budget, and team development. The role requires adaptability, problem-solving skills, and an ability to communicate effectively with diverse staff and management.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced stewarding professional with at least two years of experience in a large multi-outlet environment, such as a casino, hotel, or resort. The candidate must be capable of handling the physical demands of the job, including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, and working in a high noise and heat environment. Evening, graveyard, holiday, and weekend shifts are part of the job requirements, reflecting the dynamic nature of casino operations.
Overall, the Kitchen Stewarding Supervisor plays a critical role in Desert Diamond Casino’s mission to deliver an outstanding guest experience through meticulous kitchen operations and dedicated team leadership. This position combines operational expertise, personnel management, and strict adherence to health and safety standards, making it essential to the casino’s food and beverage service excellence.
