The company's manufacturing and sourcing expertise covers a wide range of materials such as resin, paper, molded fiber, and aluminum, offering customers both stock and customized packaging solutions across 120 product categories, 250 brands, and over 39,000 SKUs. This extensive industry presence and comprehensive product range emphasize Novolex's commitment to innovation, quality, and sustainability.
The company is dedicated to sustainability, which is a core part of its business strategy and operations. Novolex's sustainability vision focuses on three main pillars: its products, its operations, and its people. These pillars guide the company’s ambitious goals and reflect its efforts to implement wide-ranging sustainability initiatives. This commitment not only benefits the environment but strengthens Novolex's role as a responsible leader in the packaging industry.
Novolex is currently hiring a Lead Operator to manage the operation of blown film machinery, a critical role in the production of high-quality plastic film products. This position is a full-time opportunity with competitive hourly compensation ranging from $24.00 to $34.00, paid weekly. The role offers day and night shifts, providing flexibility to accommodate different schedules.
The Lead Operator will take on significant responsibilities including the setup, operation, and monitoring of blow film equipment such as extruders, dies, air rings, cooling systems, and winders. Success in this role requires technical proficiency in handling machinery and strong leadership abilities to maintain production efficiency, quality control, and safety standards. The operator will be responsible for conducting regular quality checks and troubleshooting mechanical issues to minimize downtime and ensure product consistency. In addition, the role involves collaboration with inventory control to manage raw material availability and coordination with maintenance teams for equipment servicing.
Emphasizing safety and quality, the Lead Operator will enforce standard operating procedures and promote a culture of safety throughout the manufacturing facility. The position also demands excellent organizational and time management skills to meet production schedules and optimize operational outputs. By working cross-functionally with quality assurance, maintenance, and shipping teams, the Lead Operator will contribute to seamless production flows and timely deliveries. This role also includes responsibilities such as product packaging, inspection, labeling, and preparing goods for shipment, ensuring that the end product meets all customer and company standards.
Novolex provides a comprehensive benefits package focused on employee well-being. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance along with mental, physical, and financial health resources. The company fosters continuous professional growth through extensive training and development programs, including access to online learning platforms, formal education support, and skill-enhancement courses.
