The role of Lead Line Cook at Crystal Mountain is a seasonal position that comes with the opportunity to work and play in an exceptional mountain environment. Reporting to the Executive Sous Chef, the Lead Line Cook acts as a co-manager of a specific culinary outlet within the resort's food and beverage operations. This role involves training, coaching, and leading culinary staff, ensuring adherence to recipes, food safety standards, and operational procedures. The person in this position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen stations while delivering high-quality food and beverage products that meet the resort’s standards. The Lead Line Cook assists in managing back-of-house operations, acts as a leader during the absence of the Executive Sous Chef, and helps foster a positive culinary culture throughout the resort. The position requires a deep understanding of kitchen operations, knife skills, prep work, and the ability to work across all stations. With a pay range of $23 to $25 per hour, this housing eligible role offers an excellent opportunity for those passionate about culinary arts and mountain life.

Job Requirements
- Ability to obtain WA Food Safety Card within 3 days of hiring
- Ability to stand for long periods, up to 8 hours
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally
- Some outlets require intermediate skiing/snowboarding ability
- Willingness to work in different venues and locations
- Strong work ethic and enthusiasm
Job Qualifications
- 3-5 years of kitchen operations experience
- Ability to train Cook I and Cook II
- Higher in-depth understanding of knife work and prep
- Knowledge of food safety standards
- Experience working in a fast-paced culinary environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work all kitchen stations
Job Duties
- Assist the Executive Sous Chef in managing culinary operations
- Train, coach, and lead culinary staff
- Ensure adherence to recipes, food safety, and standard operating procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen stations
- Produce high-quality food and beverage products
