Known for its vast network of parks, trails, and natural areas, Cleveland Metroparks manages over 23,000 acres of green space across the Greater Cleveland region. The organization is committed not only to environmental stewardship but also to delivering exceptional visitor experiences through a variety of recreational, educational, and dining venues. Among its hospitality offerings, Merwin's Wharf stands out as a vibrant dining destination located within the Metroparks system, offering guests a unique food experience that complements the natural beauty of the surrounding environment.

At Merwin's Wharf, the Lead Line Cook ensures all workstations are properly set and maintained, sanitation standards are rigorously upheld, and the pace on a busy kitchen line is effectively managed. They understand the importance of presentation, timing, and quality in food service and can respond to guest needs with accuracy, speed, and professionalism. Knowledge and adherence to health and safety standards, including compliance with Health Department codes and successful completion of the ServSafe Food Handling Course, are critical components of this position.

This opportunity offers individuals interested in culinary arts a chance to grow their careers within a reputable public organization that values quality, teamwork, and community engagement. The position's schedule varies and includes flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, which supports the operational demands of Merwin's Wharf. Cleveland Metroparks provides a supportive environment that encourages initiative, sound judgment, and professional development, making it an excellent workplace for culinary professionals seeking to advance in their field while contributing to a positive guest experience.
