Job Requirements

  • Previous experience in a non-fast food restaurant or training at a culinary school required
  • ServSafe Certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days of employment
  • must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
  • able to keep up with a fast paced environment
  • able to work late nights, weekends and holidays
  • must be 18 years old
  • able to perform with minimum supervision
  • protective clothing required: slip resistant shoes
  • U.S. work authorization required

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a non-fast food restaurant or training at a culinary school
  • ServSafe Certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days
  • ability to perform basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in all units of measure
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • ability to work late nights, weekends and holidays
  • must be at least 18 years old
  • ability to perform duties with minimum supervision
  • knowledge of proper kitchen safety and sanitation practices

Job Duties

  • Report to work on time according to posted schedule in specified uniform
  • open and close the kitchen properly and follow the opening and closing checklist for kitchen stations
  • measure and mix ingredients accurately, review modifications to recipes with Executive Chef or Kitchen Manager
  • test food being cooked by properly taste testing and taking food temperatures using ServSafe procedures
  • perform food preparation and cooking skills including measuring, washing, peeling, cutting, grilling, baking, roasting, broiling, steaming, carving and portioning foods
  • monitor food quantities, quality and display during preparation
  • stock work-station appropriately for each shift
  • develop and have knowledge of restaurant's menu including ingredients and dish assembly
  • date all food containers and rotate as needed, ensuring perishables are kept at proper temperatures
  • clean work space after each shift including sanitation of station
  • respect co-workers and managers
  • maintain a fun, positive attitude and contribute to memorable guest experiences
  • promote a positive perception of the company both internally and publicly
  • perform other duties as assigned
