Job Description

The job opening is for a Line Cook position at Muni's Sports Grille, a well-established kitchen operation located within a pro shop and golf course environment. Muni's Sports Grille is known for offering a variety of menu items that meet high-quality standards set by the Food and Beverage Manager. The kitchen plays a critical role in ensuring that customers receive delicious, well-prepared meals served in a timely and courteous manner, consistent with the values of exemplary customer service. This position is a key component in the daily operations of Muni's Sports Grille Kitchen, supporting the culinary team by preparing, cooking, and maintaining the kitchen environment in compliance with established recipes, procedures, and safety standards.

As a Line Cook at Muni's Sports Grille, you will be responsible for preparing all menu items using approved recipes and processes, maintaining portion control, and ensuring meal presentation matches the restaurant's quality expectations. You will work collaboratively with other cooks to prepare dishes and participate in shift prep work to uphold kitchen efficiency. Part of your responsibilities includes stocking ingredients and monitoring food freshness by adhering to temperature control logs and rotating inventory to avoid spoilage. Your role is crucial in maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment by performing routine cleaning of kitchen equipment and managing waste disposal.

The position requires more than just culinary skills; it expects professional communication, multitasking capabilities, and adherence to safety and sanitation protocols. You will have the opportunity to hone your skills in cooking methods, food preparation techniques, and the use of kitchen appliances such as slicers, dishwashers, fryers, grills, and charbroilers. Physical demands of the job include the ability to stand, walk, crouch, and lift up to 30 pounds throughout your shift, and occasional travel between different sites and locations may be required.

A minimum of two years of line cook experience is necessary to be considered for this role, although other relevant education and work experiences may be evaluated individually. You must possess a valid driver's license and have the ability to obtain a Montana driver’s license within six months of your hire date. Reporting directly to the Food and Beverage Manager, this position does not entail supervisory responsibilities but offers ample opportunities for skill development and career growth within the food service industry. The ideal candidate is motivated, attentive to detail, and committed to providing exceptional customer service while maintaining operational excellence within the kitchen.
