We are currently seeking a Lead Line Cook to join our esteemed culinary team. This role is uniquely positioned within Glenmoor's upscale dining operations, supporting various venues such as the clubhouse casual dining area, patio service, golf event catering, and special member functions. This position offers a competitive salary range of $24 to $27 per hour, depending on experience, and is available as a full-time or part-time seasonal role, with consistent hours during the season. Evenings, weekends, and holidays are required, reflecting the dynamic nature of the culinary service at the club.

The Lead Line Cook will play a critical role in supporting kitchen leadership by managing daily line operations, ensuring that all dishes meet rigorous quality and presentation standards. This role demands adaptability, especially during the current clubhouse renovation where work will occur in a mobile kitchen trailer—a challenge well-suited for someone with a team-first mindset and excellent communication skills.

Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and executing high-quality menu items across multiple stations such as grill, sauté, pantry, and prep. The Lead Line Cook will also assist with expediting orders, maintain strong communication with front-of-house staff, and ensure smooth service flow during busy periods. As a mentor to junior and seasonal kitchen staff, the Lead Line Cook demonstrates leadership by example, promoting a positive and professional kitchen environment and supporting culinary growth. Additional duties include inventory organization, prep planning, and stepping in for sous chefs or executive chefs as needed.

Job Duties

  • Prepare and execute high-quality menu items across multiple service areas
  • lead and support line operations during service, ensuring timing, coordination, and quality standards are consistently met

  • assist with expediting and maintain clear communication with front-of-house during service
  • ensure all dishes leaving the line meet presentation and quality standards
  • support training and mentorship of seasonal and junior kitchen staff
  • monitor prep levels and communicate needs to culinary leadership
  • maintain proper food safety, sanitation, and kitchen organization
  • assist with inventory organization, prep planning, and station setup
  • serve as a point person on the line in the absence of a Sous Chef or Executive Chef
  • promote a positive, professional, and team-oriented kitchen environment
