Job Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- ability to lift and carry up to 40-50 lbs
- ability to work in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment including a mobile kitchen trailer setup
Job Qualifications
- Previous line cook experience required
- leadership or lead experience preferred
- strong knife skills
- advanced understanding of cooking techniques
- experience working multiple stations including grill, sauté, pantry, prep
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to lead by example in a fast-paced kitchen
- dependability, professionalism, and strong work ethic
- positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
Job Duties
- Prepare and execute high-quality menu items across multiple service areas
- lead and support line operations during service, ensuring timing, coordination, and quality standards are consistently met
- work across multiple stations including grill, sauté, pantry, prep, and step in where needed to support service flow
- assist with expediting and maintain clear communication with front-of-house during service
- ensure all dishes leaving the line meet presentation and quality standards
- support training and mentorship of seasonal and junior kitchen staff
- monitor prep levels and communicate needs to culinary leadership
- maintain proper food safety, sanitation, and kitchen organization
- assist with inventory organization, prep planning, and station setup
- serve as a point person on the line in the absence of a Sous Chef or Executive Chef
- promote a positive, professional, and team-oriented kitchen environment
