Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a fast-casual kitchen environment
- Open availability and flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of North Carolina Health Department regulations
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience as a lead line cook or in a similar kitchen leadership role
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to manage and lead a team effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with fast-casual restaurant operations
- Proficiency in multiple kitchen stations
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and inclusive work environment
- Willingness to assist with training and development of new staff
Job Duties
- Oversee and participate in daily prep
- Receive and check orders for accuracy and quality
- Execute specials
- Ensure consistency and accuracy of all menu items
- Be cross-trained on all stations
- Fill in where needed (dish, prep, line, expo)
- Delegate tasks and prep items/lists throughout the day
- Support cultivating a safe, healthy, and inclusive workspace
- Support FOH with complaints, problems with orders, or guest questions and concerns
- Assist with onboarding and ensure new hires are set up for success
- Conduct stages and provide input on hiring and termination decisions
- Help build a training culture rooted in clarity, support, and accountability
- Ensure all employees follow the company handbook and established procedures
- Maintain compliance with North Carolina Health Department guidelines
- Attend weekly meetings with the Operations Manager
- Assist with preparation and execution of catering and large orders
- Support overall kitchen systems, cleanliness, organization, and communication
