As part of our ongoing commitment to excellence, we are currently seeking a skilled Lead Line Cook to join our dedicated culinary team.

The Lead Line Cook position is integral to maintaining the culinary standards of our establishment. This role involves overseeing the preparation and execution of dishes in line with our menu specifications, ensuring that every plate meets our quality and presentation criteria. The Lead Line Cook will manage station readiness by properly handling, storing, and rotating food to preserve freshness and safety. You will be responsible for adhering to recipe standards, portion controls, and plating guidelines provided by the Home Team. Maintaining a clean and sanitary workspace is crucial, as is working efficiently during both prep and service periods to handle high volumes without sacrificing quality.

In this position, you will also perform backup and prep duties, including setting up and maintaining steam tables for temperature control during AM and PM shifts. Additionally, you'll prepare ingredients according to instructions from culinary leadership and execute the cooking and assembly of menu items consistently throughout service hours. Success in this role requires a strong attention to detail, speed, and accuracy as well as the ability to prioritize tasks and operate calmly under pressure. Physical stamina is essential due to standing for entire shifts, frequent bending, reaching, and lifting of items up to 40 pounds.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a commercial kitchen setting
  • Ability to stand for entire shifts
  • Capability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs multiple times per shift
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-energy environment
  • Willingness to follow safety and sanitation standards strictly

Job Duties

  • Handle store and rotate food properly to ensure freshness and safety
  • Follow recipes portion guidelines and plating specifications set by Home Team
  • Maintain a sanitary and efficient workspace throughout prep and service
  • Set up the steam table with proper water levels heat food to correct temperatures and ensure everything is ready for service
  • Maintain par levels by keeping the steam table stocked heated and service-ready
  • Follow prep lists from the Executive Chef or Sous Chef ensuring all ingredients are properly prepared and stored
  • Cook and assemble menu items from the station ensuring quality and consistency
