Job Requirements
- minimum of 2 years experience as a line cook
- previous leadership experience in a kitchen setting preferred
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- strong communication and team leadership skills
- availability to work flexible shifts including nights weekends and holidays
- culinary degree or certification is advantageous
Job Qualifications
- proven experience as a line cook with at least 2 years in a leadership role preferred
- strong knowledge of cooking techniques food safety and sanitation practices
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends
- culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus
Job Duties
- supervise and coordinate the activities of the kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service
- prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
- maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment adhering to health and safety regulations
- train and mentor junior line cooks providing guidance and support to enhance their skills
- monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed
- collaborate with the head chef to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes
- ensure that all food is presented attractively and meets quality standards before serving
- handle any kitchen-related issues or emergencies in a calm and efficient manner
