The Inventory Control Lead position at Chick-fil-A Supply Distribution Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, offers an excellent opportunity to join a growing and dynamic team. This role is a full-time position compensated at $28 per hour, ideal for a team player who possesses exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills. The Inventory Control Lead will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels by managing variances and discrepancies involving both incoming and existing products as part of the day-to-day operations. This includes ensuring efficient handling of damaged or recalled items, coordinating inventory adjustments, and conducting audits to uphold inventory accuracy. This role is critical in supporting seamless inventory control to ensure optimal product availability for Chick-fil-A restaurants. Moreover, the position demands physical endurance to work in extreme temperatures and handle physically demanding tasks such as lifting and moving heavy objects using mechanical assistance.

Job Requirements

- working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook
- familiarity and comfort with navigating and executing in the WMS system
- proven record of working independently with little oversight

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of warehouse experience
- education: high school or equivalent
- certifications: none
- preferred 3+ years of warehouse experience
- preferred experience in inventory control, claims management, or similar job functions
- preferred material handling equipment proficiency
Job Duties
- Timely submission and tracking of damage claims to supplier and/or distribution partners
- verify and maintain records on inventory adjustments, movements and transfers, request backup documentation, and resolve discrepancies
- assist in inventory related projects, such as disposals, donations, relocation of inventory, and consolidation/organization
- perform assorted administrative duties, such as document management, reporting, filing, and scheduling
- provide timely feedback to inventory related emails and correspondence
- ensure inventory accuracy through the completion of effective control techniques including internal audits, cycle and audit counts
- identify, quarantine, and report damaged or supplier recalled/withdrawn product to assure it is accurately captured and removed from inventory
