- One year of hospital or other institutional cleaning experience
- knowledge of basic cleaning methods, materials, and equipment
- basic reading, writing, and mathematics documentation skills
- knowledge of standard units of measure such as ounces, quarts, and gallons
- knowledge of safety techniques and procedures
- knowledge of supervision and training techniques
- ability to follow and issue oral and written instructions
- ability to train and evaluate subordinates
- ability to maintain records and prepare routine reports
- ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- ability to work around sick people and in contaminated areas
- ability to work continuously while standing and walking
- willingness to comply with the San Joaquin County Substance Abuse Policy
- eligibility to work in the U.S.
- ability to take physical exam and drug screening if required
- availability to work part-time hours
